A press release is nota partnership.

The term “partnership” has been bandied around so broadly that, to many, it is virtually meaningless.

So, what is a partnership anyway?

The concept of structured partnership development as a business function was pioneered in the early 2000’s when, for the first time, organizations began dedicating resources to intentionally creating mutually beneficial relationships with others. Job titles with the word partnership in them sprouted.

Pravi CEO Eric Sinoway helped launch and grow one of the country’s first partnership development companies, an agency whose sole function was to conceive, negotiate, and execute partnerships on behalf of its clients.  Today, 25 years later, partnership development continues to be a creative way to drive inorganic growth, add value, and change the paradigm of what might be possible. Pravi is one of the leaders in helping organizations do so.

These are the elements of a Pravi partnership:

  1. Generates value to both parties engaged in it (if it doesn’t, it’s sales, not a partnership).

  2. Entails a relationship and is not a one-time transaction.

  3. Advances priorities core to the organization, not ones that are ancillary.

  4. Necessitates buy-in and support from a senior executive that champions it in an organization.

  5. Achieves something that neither party could accomplish on its own.

Our value proposition is simple: we have decades of experience and long-term, trusted relationships that we bring to bear to execute partnerships that matter.
